A Private Residence Spotlights Art and Design from Africa and the African Diaspora

A private residential complex in Gstaad, Switzerland, the property seeks to bridge cultures and foster an appreciation for the connections between Africa and the rest of the world. The residence is a collaborative project led by Creative Director, Nachson Mimran, in collaboration with Pritzker Architecture Prize-Winner Francis Kéré.

PLAY, the entertainment area of the residence, designed by Studio Karhard, features a Fireplace Lounge, Listening bar, DJ booth,  Bowling alley and Darkroom. PLAY, featuring a mural by Victor Ekpuk,  “Nest” by Porky Hefer, a DJ-Booth in collaboration with Ousmane Mbaye, Doulsy and Ali Mbaye and a light object by Ini Archibong.
